Bake Sale Benefit for Haiti

Hello all,

Just a quick note about where we'll be this coming weekend.
This coming Saturday, B. goods will be selling at the Bake Sale for Haiti. Proceeds will be going to the Canadian Red Cross for Haiti Earthquake Relief. The event looks to be quite popular already and I would expect that the cookies will be selling fast.

All proceeds to go to the Canadian Red Cross for Haiti Earthquake Relief.

As I mentioned I am going to update on life/business related issues. Today I am heading down to register for french language training. This, for me, is necessary because I did not fully learn the french language in the 10 years I spent studying it in Ontario's grade school and high school system. It is pertinent to my business due to our proximity in Ottawa to the city of Gatineau, QC. I do see a potential for accounts in that city and would like to be able to offer our linguisticly elegant neighbors to the north a few accounts by the summer or fall.
French language skills are also very important in Ottawa's Festival Network (of which I am regullarly present at Jazz, Folk, Rideau Canal and Pride) as you are required by most contracts to have a bilingual staff member on hand at all time. Either you pay someone to speak french or you pay your self to learn french!
All that said, I am also very excited to not be excluded from conversaations that my french friends and acquaintences are having and at the low low price of $200 per session I fell I am getting a bargain.

Ok. Its the New Year and I am feelin Tech-Savvy!

Hello all,

Welcome to the first incarnations of my non-Facebook online presence. I realize that there will need to be something just a little bit different about this page so I will attempt to highlight some of the more interesting realities of being in business for ones self - including unexpected occurrences that threaten your sanity, strategic successes that make life easier and the merits of learning to balance the Work/Social/Family existences.

On this Blog I will slowly add pictures and make sure to list sampling when ever they are sure to happen. You here will also be the first learn of special events that I plan on attending with the bakery and the mobile cafe.

I hope for a weekly update but that will be dependent on baking and my life managing skills. Stay tuned shortly for a detailed list of the stores that are currently carrying the B. goods cookies including their delivery days. Also shortly the complete list of B. Goods products (cookies only at this point).
